Yoo Goo Jung claimed that he suffered frequent violence from Mr. A, and sued Mr. A in July 2019. According to the prosecution’s prosecution facts, Mr. A was accused of assaulting Yu Jeong-jeong five times from April 2017 to December of the following year.
Mr. A completely denied the assault. During the trial process, Mr. A said, “I have never been assaulted before,” and said, “If there was any activity worth seeing as an assault, it would have been because of the process of defending against abnormal behaviors such as self-harm behaviors.
The judge said, “It is admitted that the defendant broke the door with a dumbbell (like Ko Yoo-jung’s claim), but given the circumstances that did not lead to the assault, the defendant’s claim that it was an action to prevent the self-harm of Goo Goo is more reasonable.”
He added, “(Ko Yoo-Jung) had a habit of taking pictures when he was injured on his body,” he added. “However, the fact that it is difficult to find evidence to support this case is more reliable in the defendant’s claim.”
In addition, the court saw that it was not valid for Yu Jeong to sue her husband for remarriage late after an investigation into the suspicion of the murder of his stepson. The court judged innocent that “when he was suspected of being a stepson murderer, he was motivated to sue for revenge feelings,” and said, “Combining all these circumstances, this case corresponds to the case that the prosecution’s prosecution has no proof of crime.” Stated the reason.
Meanwhile, Yoo Goo-jeong is serving a life sentence in the Supreme Court for murdering her ex-husband. In May 2019, after stabbing his ex-husband A (37 years old at the time of death) with a weapon at a pension in Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, he was accused of destroying the body and throwing it away (murder, body damage, concealment). Later, he was also charged with murdering his stepson, but neither the court of appeal nor the court of appeals admitted.
