It is analyzed that this is because Godeok district, where old complexes such as Godeok Jugong and Godeok City, were mostly rebuilt and attracted attention as a new residential complex in the Gangnam area. Godeok Jugong Complex 1 (Godeok I-Park), Godeok Raemian Hill State (Siyeong), Godeok Forest I-Park (Jugong 4), Godeok Grasium (Jugong 2), Godeok Central I-Park (Jugong 5), Godeok Lotte Castle Beneruche (Jugong 7), Godeok Arteon (Jugong 3), and Godeok Jai (Jugong 6) succeeded in transforming each line. In particular, amid increasing preference for new apartments, the lack of new apartments in the Gangnam area is also a reason.
In addition, the extension project for subway line 9, which will add 4 new stations from the Jungang Veterans Hospital Station to Godeok Station on Line 5, to Godeok Gangil District 1, is expected to be completed in 2027. When this project is completed, it can be reached from Godeok to Samsung Joongang and Sinnonhyeon via line 9 at once. As this route is planned to connect to Namyangju through Hanam in the future, the metropolitan transportation network is expected to improve.
