Frank Lampard put down Chelsea’s baton after 84 official games. One of the biggest flaws that has been a problem throughout Lampard’s tenure was the inability to block opponents. The expected goal in the Premier League was 57.3 goals, but 77 goals were allowed. He scored a whopping 19.7 goals more than expected, which is more than 12.5 goals in the same period than other teams.
It can be said that this is mainly Kepa Arisavala’s fault with the goalkeeper. Keppa actually scored 12 goals more than expected from his effective shot (excluding penalty kicks and own goals). Naturally, Lampard had to allow the most goals per game (1.35 goals) in the PL among Chelsea managers.

Mason Mount also scored 11 goals with the most appearances (80 games) and most assists (10) in the team. Mount, just 22, hadn’t even played in the first division until Lampard took over.
Reese James, now 21, played 55 official competitions under Lampard. There are only six Chelsea players playing more than James. Other young players, Christian Fulisik and Calum Hudson-Odoy, were middle-aged at Chelsea last season under coach Lampard.
The ban on signing ended with a single transfer market, and Chelsea can sign players from January 2020. However, Chelsea started to shake from the transfer market. Hakim Ziech, Timo Werner and Kai Haberz were recruited for high transfer fees as offensive resources, all of whom are having difficulty adapting to the PL.
Lampard’s playing style has become slower and more complicated this season than last season.
