Go Kenya with’Minecraft’! Sandbox, implemented as a’independent village’ game sponsored by World Vision

Sandbox Network (hereinafter referred to as Sandbox) announced today (18th) that it has implemented Kenya’s’independent village’ sponsored by World Vision as a popular sandbox’Minecraft’. Through this, it is expected that children will be able to indirectly experience the African environment located on the other side of the globe and to raise the correct global citizenship in an easy and fun way.

‘Independence Village’ implemented by Sandbox as’Minecraft’ is a village in Kenya, Africa that has achieved educational independence, health independence, and water independence through the sponsorship of World Vision. Sandbox participated in the creation of’Lanson Independent Village’ and made use of Minecraft to realize the’Independent Village’ in Kenya, Africa, which resembles the real world as a virtual reality.

It realistically reproduces the village’s schools, health centers, village halls, and drinking water kiosks. Any gamer with a Minecraft account can experience an independent village in Kenya, Africa, located on the other side of the globe. Sandbox also provided an opportunity to experience African drinking water issues, health issues, and human rights issues through mini-games, sympathize with the lives of friends around the world, and think about ways to improve them.

Minecraft maps and mini-games for’Lanson Independent Village’ will be released along with experience contents through’Dotti TV’, a YouTube channel of’Dotti’ representing the sandbox on the 20th.

Ho-chan Hwang, the team leader of the Sandbox Animation Studio, who oversees the project, “It is an honor to participate in a meaningful project that empathizes with the lives of African children and fosters global citizenship.” He expressed his impressions, “I put the most effort into realizing a village that is very similar to the real world so that we can help in-depth understanding of it.
