The supplementary provisions of the Gaduk New Airport Special Act, which were resolved at the Prime Minister’s meeting presided over by Prime Minister Jeong Sye-gyun on the 9th, require the government to replace Gimhae New Airport and reflect Gaduk New Airport in the 6th Comprehensive Airport Development Plan. Therefore, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, which recently launched the Gadeok New Airport TF, is planning to take a separate procedure to report the suspension of the Gimhae New Airport promotion, and finally nail the blanking of the Gimhae New Airport plan. Rep. Choi stressed, “There will be no more confusion within the government over the Gimhae New Airport.”
In addition, the special commissioner of Gaduk New Airport plans to hold its first meeting with the TF of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport within the next week to discuss plans for promptly launching the preliminary feasibility study service.
In this regard, Nak-yeon Lee, Chairman of the Special Committee of Gaduk New Airport, and Chairman Jae Bo-seon Jae Bo-seon of the 4th and 7th, visited Busan on the 12th to hold a meeting with the President of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss rapid implementation plans for Gaduk New Airport. Previously, Chairman Lee said in an interview with the 〈Busan Ilbo〉, “I heard the constant winds of local businessmen, such as the Busan merchant during the time of the prime minister, and accepted Gadeok New Airport as a necessary facility for the leap forward in Buulgyeong.” Chairman Lee is said to have been the chairman of the special committee at this meeting, and he will express his stance that he will do his best to ensure that the follow-up measures of the Gaduk New Airport Special Act can be proceeded quickly.
