Webtoon writer and broadcaster Gian 84 (real name Kim Hee-min, 37) again criticized the current government’s real estate policy through a series of webtoons.

On the 12th episode of “The King of Rehabilitation,” Episode 326, “Ending the Subscription Contest,” a scene was depicted in which the characters unfold a physical fitness field to sign an apartment and climb a ladder that is narrowly hung on the apartment wall. It is a satire on the increased competition for subscriptions.

In addition, there is a scene in the cartoon that expresses the’rental house’ as a shabby house built in the mountains and shouts, “I don’t like it, it’s only packed in good faith. Such a house is alive with you guys.”

The supply of public rental housing (happy housing) is a policy that the Moon Jae-in administration is pursuing intensively as housing prices skyrocket.

In addition to this, there were many content in the cartoons that satirize on the recent surge in house prices, such as “Can I buy such a house (apartment) even if I work for my whole life?”

When the webtoon character said, “The sun sets and the ladder that leads to the nobility is cut,” netizens responded by saying, “The sun sets and rises because the moon is the moon. Responses such as “The reality is so same that I can only give 10 points (perfect score)” followed by reactions such as “The reality is harsher.”

Gian 84 was controversial last year by drawing a scene where the protagonist reached out to the full moon, saying, “Sometimes it’s amazing. Even if you work so hard, you can’t see the way to buy a house.”

In response to suspicion that it was aimed at President Moon Jae-in’s nickname,’Moon,’ at the time, netizens who tended to be pro-gotten criticized Gian 84 online.
