On the 27th, one day before the 5th anniversary of the’December 28th Korea-Japan Comfort Women Agreement’, the Justice Memory Solidarity (Euiyeon Jeong) issued a statement, saying, “The 2015 Korea-Japan Agreement is dead.” Urged that. Eui-yeon Eui-yeon argued, “The incident of the Peace Girl Statue (demolition attempt) that took place in Mitte-gu, Berlin, Germany in October, is evidence that the Korea-Japan agreement has died.” Eui-Yeon Eui-yeon said, “The prerequisite for the final and irreversible solution was the Japanese government’s’sense of responsibility’, but the attack on the Peace Girl image is far from feeling the responsibility. Rather than trying to heal the wounds of the heart and mind, they are trying to erase the’comfort women’ problem.” Eui-yeon Eui-yeon criticized the government, saying, “Even so, the Moon Jae-in administration is not trying to take a step in the’Korea-Japan comfort women agreement handling direction’ announced in 2018,” and demanded, “Go ahead to solve the real problem.” In 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “The 2015 agreement cannot be a real solution to the problem of the victims of comfort women in the Japanese military. It is undeniable that the 2015 agreement was an official agreement between the two countries. In view of this, he said, “We will not require renegotiation from the Japanese government.” In addition, Eui-yeon Eui-yeon urged interest in the ruling of a lawsuit for damages against Japanese victims of’comfort women’ and their bereaved family, which will be issued at the Seoul Central District Court early next year. Eui-yeon Eui-yeon said, “Now the Korean court must confirm that’Japan should take responsibility’. It was emphasized that the legal common sense of the international community, which was confirmed through the ruling of the Japanese military sexual slave war criminals in 2000, and the international court of women, should be declared.” By Kim Yoon-joo, staff reporter [email protected]
