The photo article’The Homeless and the Gentleman’ reported in the last month (▶Related articles How was the filming of’Homeless Man and Shrine’ at Seoul Station?) Is causing a small butterfly effect. The children and teachers of Salesio Seongmi Kindergarten in Singil-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul said they had time to learn valuable lessons about their neighbors through this photo article. Sister Lee Mi-young, a kindergarten director who saw a picture of Seoul Station in the snow on the 18th, talked with the children by looking at the pictures, and wrote a letter to the parents.

Learning about neighbors also led to real warm actions. Lee Mi-young, who accidentally received the news that the civic group’Warm Day’ is carrying out a campaign to collect daily necessities for the homeless, suggested that Kindergarten children join together. For three days starting on the 8th of this month, the children collected various kinds of items, and this ledger, which was proposed for the first time, was also surprised because it accumulated much more than expected. When asked what kind of mind they brought, the children answered, “I brought homeless people to keep warm”, “We have a lot of new socks in our house, so I wanted to give them out”, and “I wish I could warm my heart.” Not only the goods, but also the warm hearts of the children in the letters that were crooked down with colored pens. `We have been collecting things with the hope that you will spend the winter warmly and healthily and have more good things happen in the future. There are clothes, masks, toothbrushes, and food. It also contains our love.’ Collect photos of the scenes of sharing that children took the lead.
