When Supreme Court Chief Justice Kim Myung-soo released a transcript of the dialogue in connection with the suspicion that Chief Justice Im Seong-geun rejected the resignation of the Busan High Court chief judge for the reason that the impeachment of a judge was under discussion at the National Assembly, Chief Justice Kim said, “Relying on unclear memories, I apologize for this.” On the 4th, Vice-President Judge Lim’s lawyer released three 26-38 second transcripts of the conversation between the two. Listening to the transcript, Chief Justice Kim, who is known to have expressed his appreciation, said to Judge Im, who is known to have expressed his appreciation, “If you talk openly, you should impeach it now. If I accept the resignation, what will you hear from the National Assembly?”, ” I don’t have the idea that it should be impeached, but for now, it is political and the situation is a different matter. If you just fix it today so you can’t even bring out the word of impeachment, you won’t be able to talk about impeachment. I don’t think it’s very appropriate to be accused of that.” Judge Lim said that the file released on the day was a transcript of the conversation he had in the process of meeting with Chief Justice Kim in May of last year to express his gratitude. Earlier, the Supreme Court and Judge Im had a truth battle over the content that Chief Justice Kim rejected Judge Im’s resignation and talked about the impeachment of the judge. Deputy Chief Judge Lim’s lawyer said on the 3rd, “At the time of the interview, Supreme Court Chief Kim said,’If the resignation is accepted, the National Assembly will not be able to discuss impeachment, which could lead to criticism. The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court will take care of whether it will be repaired.’ In response, the Supreme Court immediately refuted, “There was no fact that the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court had said to Judge Im that’the resignation cannot be accepted due to the issue of impeachment’.” However, after a day of refutation, Judge Lim released the transcripts, and the Supreme Court said on this day, “Reviewing the memory based on the recordings released to the media,’It is not in principle appropriate to resign in the middle rather than at the time of regular greetings.’ “I remember that I said the same contents as in the recorded material under my judgment,” he said. “I expressed my regret for responding differently from the previous responses that relied on unclear memories of about 9 months ago.” Meanwhile, Deputy Judge Im was accused of intervening in the trial of former Seoul Central District Commissioner Tatsuya Kato, who was accused of defamation after writing an article related to the seven-hour journey of former President Park Geun-hye while serving as the Chief Criminal Justice of the Seoul Central District Court. He was accused of being innocent at the first trial, and an appeal trial is in progress. The National Assembly is expected to hold a plenary session this afternoon and vote on the impeachment prosecution against Judge Lim. By Jo Yoon-young, staff reporter
