In the preliminary voting for the 4·7 re-election, which ended on the 3rd, it recorded a record high of 20.54% of the voter for re-election. The Central Election Commission said in a pre-voting that started at 6 a.m. the previous day, of the 12,161624 electors, 2.49 million of the votes were completed by 6 p.m. that day. By region, Seoul reached 21.95% with 1.84 million votes. Jongno-gu (24.44%), which is called’Political No. 1′, has the highest turnout rate in Seoul. This was followed by Dongjak-gu (23.62%) and Songpa-gu (23.37%). Busan showed a turnout of 18.65%, with 540,499 people participating, and the pre-voting rate exceeded 20%, breaking the highest in all-time re-elections. This is 1.14 percentage points higher than the previous high, the pre-voting rate (19.40%) at the time of the 2014 October 29 re-election. The pre-voting rates of the April 3 re-election in 2019 (14.37%) and the April 12 re-election in 2017 (5.90%) also exceeded significantly.
