Hong Jeong-ik, head of the Vaccination Planning Team of the Corona 19 Vaccination Response Promotion Team, said at the Corona 19 regular briefing on the 13th, “In the second quarter, the age group 65 and older are the main targets for vaccination.”

The first vaccination of the Corona 19 vaccine started on February 26 and increased by 3,5684 as of 0 o’clock on the 13th, and 583,658 people completed the vaccination. First of all, the vaccination rate was recorded at 73.7% of 79,267 people.

The first candidates for vaccination are workers and residents of nursing hospitals and facilities under the age of 65, first responders to Corona 19, health care workers at medical institutions above the hospital level, and workers in Corona 19 patient treatment hospitals. The number of people subject to vaccination is a provisional statistic that can change according to vaccination registration.

According to the Corona 19 vaccination implementation plan, the targets for vaccination in the second quarter are △ senior citizens 65 years of age or older △ users and workers of welfare facilities for the elderly △ medical institutions and pharmacies workers (not eligible for vaccination in the first quarter) △ people with disabilities, homeless, etc. 9 million.
