Gasoline prices rising for four consecutive months, 200 won per liter’↑’

Domestic demand-linked international gasoline prices are rising, more room for additional hikes

[지앤이타임즈]Gasoline consumer prices have been rising for over four months.

However, there is a high factor to rise again.

According to the Korea Petroleum Corporation, the gasoline sales price at the gas station in the third week of March recorded 1,517.4 won per liter, up 18.8 won from the previous week.

It has been on the rise for 17 consecutive weeks since the third week of November last year.

At that time, the price of gasoline was 1,317.38 won per liter, so 200.2 won rose in the meantime.

The diesel sales price in the third week of March also increased by 18.4 won compared to the previous week to 1,316.8 won.

Like gasoline, it has been rising for 17 consecutive weeks since the third week of November last year.

However, there are additional upside factors.

This is because the price that refiners supply to gas stations has risen.

As of the second week of March, the gasoline supply price of refiners rose 42.2 won per liter to 1,469.3 won compared to the previous week, and diesel was traded at 1,265.7 won, up 41.3 won.

International oil prices, which have a direct impact on domestic prices, have also risen.

Gasoline prices as of the third week of March traded in Singapore were $74.4 per barrel, up $0.7 per barrel compared to the previous week.

International gasoline prices have been steadily rising since trading at $57.05 a barrel for the first week of this year.

Dubai oil prices fell slightly.

In the third week of March, the price was $66.6, down $0.3 a barrel from the previous week.

In response, the KNOC analyzed that the US’s willingness to sustain economic stimulus, increased refining throughput in China, and enriched uranium in Iran, as well as declining factors such as a strong dollar index and an increase in US petroleum product inventories due to refining facilities restarted, are recording a steady trend. .
