Korea National Oil Corporation (President Yang Soo-young) reported that the weekly sales price of domestic petroleum products rose by 18.8 won per liter to 1,517.4 won for gasoline, 18.4 won to 1,316.8 won for diesel, and 898.6 won for indoor kerosene, up 6.5 won for 17 consecutive weeks. By brand, the average price of gasoline at affordable gas stations was the lowest at 1,488.4 won per liter, while the SK Energy brand gas station was the highest at 1,525.0 won per liter.

The average price of diesel at affordable gas stations was the lowest at 1,285.9 won per liter, but the SK Energy brand gas station recorded the highest price at 1,324.8 won per liter.

Gasoline at GS Taltex brand gas stations rose 19.3 won to 1,524.9 won per liter, and diesel rose 19.0 won to 1,324.7 won, the second highest price among gas station brands.

The sales price of gasoline at Hyundai Oilbank brand gas stations rose 18.3 won per liter to 1,518.6 won per liter, and diesel rose 18.0 won to 1,318.5 won, while S-OIL brand gas stations rose 18.4 won to 1,515.0 won, and diesel rose 18.1 won to 1,314.3 won.

The self-label gas station rose 19.7 won per liter to 1,499.2 won for gasoline, and 1,298.8 won for diesel, 20.5 won per liter.

By region, the sales price of gasoline in Seoul, the highest priced area, rose 16.7 won per liter to 1,602.6 won per liter compared to the previous week, 85.2 won higher than the national average.

On the other hand, the sales price of gasoline in Daegu, the lowest priced area, rose 22.4 won per liter compared to the previous week to 1,493.5 won, which was 23.8 won lower than the national average.

The supply price of refiners by product rose 42.2 won per liter to 1,469.3 won for gasoline, 41.3 won for diesel to 1,265.7 won, and 22.3 won for indoor kerosene to 741.7 won.

By refinery, the gasoline supply price of GS Caltex (CEO Heo Se-hong) rose 69.4 won per liter to 1,491.2 won compared to the previous week, and diesel rose 70.3 won to 1,288.3 won.

Following that, Hyundai Oilbank’s gasoline price rose 18.4 won to 1,465.6 won, and diesel rose 16.5 won to 1,263.5 won, the second highest among the four oil refineries.

The gasoline supply price of SK Energy (CEO Cho Joong-mok) rose 38.9 won per liter to 1,464.4 won, and diesel rose 42.5 won to 1,258.8 won, showing the third highest supply price among the four oil refineries.

The lowest-priced refinery was S-OIL (representative Hussein Al Qatani), whose gasoline supply price rose 37.3 won per liter to 1,464.3 won, and diesel rose 27.1 won to 1,255.5 won.

Meanwhile, international oil prices during the third week of March remained flat due to rising factors such as the willingness to sustain the US economic stimulus, increasing refining throughput in China, enriching uranium in Iran, and falling factors such as a strong dollar index and an increase in U.S. petroleum product inventories following refining facilities.
