Promote safe operation of hydrogen infrastructure… Localization of core parts of equipment
[충청신문=대전] Reporter Choi Hong-Seok = Korea Gas Technology Corporation announced on the 24th that it will conduct a’hydrogen infrastructure wide area maintenance service system construction’ project to make a leap forward in a hydrogen economy and succeed in the green new deal.
This project will be promoted through three strategies:’Establishing a nationwide optimal maintenance system using existing infrastructure’,’Building an integrated safety management system for the entire cycle of hydrogen infrastructure’, and’Vigorously supporting hydrogen technology standardization and hydrogen localization technology’.
Accordingly, the KTO will establish a hydrogen wide-area maintenance system consisting of nine regions nationwide through three stages by 2023, and promote the safe operation of hydrogen infrastructure facilities through preventive maintenance and emergency response procedures and training of experts.
In addition, in December of this year, it has already begun to build an IoT-based real-time integrated safety management system for hydrogen infrastructure facilities at the headquarters in Daejeon, and plans to lead the growth of the domestic materials and parts industry by localizing 10 key imported parts for hydrogen infrastructure facilities.
An official from the Gas Technology Corporation said, “This project not only contributes to the stabilization and vitalization of the domestic hydrogen industry, which is the core of the Korean Green New Deal, but also promotes the government’s successful New Deal business in the era of future energy and digital transformation, and at the same time achieves the future growth of the Corporation “We are working on a plan.”
