SBS’I want to know that’, broadcast on the 16th, dealt with the brutality of the family of Pastor Oh of Ansan Y Church, who committed sexual exploitation, sexual assault, labor exploitation, cash exploitation, and forced marriage against believers for over 20 years.

On December 15, last year, three women in their twenties filed a complaint against Pastor Oh of Ansan Y Church for more than 20 years of sexual exploitation. Since elementary school, they have attended Y Church and have lived in community, claiming that they were continuously imprisoned and sexually assaulted by Pastor Oh and his family while staying there.

Pastor Oh committed sexual exploitation by calling’Youngmaek’ as a bait for counseling on obscene crimes, and even filmed a video each time. Youngmaek is a believer who helps the spiritual energy while attending Pastor Oh, and is a term not used in general churches.

Lee Soo-jin (pseudonym) is said to have been sexually assaulted for the first time at the age of 13. Mr. Sujin said, “I was asked to confess my love while crawling naked like a dog, and I also made women have similar sexual acts.” Mr. Sujin revealed, “The pastor always asks for answers such as’It’s because you want to do it’ and’Let me do it, I want to do it’.” Pastor Oh persistently demanded until he refused, and filmed this as a video. Similar sexual acts between mother and daughter were also forced.

Kim Eun-young (pseudonym) said, “The pastor can’t come down from the bed. Everything was done in bed.” He is known to be unwell with rheumatoid arthritis. Sujin revealed, “Because he does not have teeth, the church people have no teeth, and there were several people who pulled out 4 front teeth.”

The church released a picture of Pastor Oh through an explanatory video, claiming that he was not in good health enough to commit sexual violence.

The place where Pastor Oh lives is in the Ansan luxury country housing complex. Hundreds of high-priced luxury watches and jewellery were found in the home decor. Excluding the children, the pastor of a small church with more than 100 congregation giving donations could have lived a luxurious life adorned with several rural houses, several foreign cars, and luxury jewelry.

The answer can be found in the so-called’water vein’ that is responsible for the finances of the church by making money outside. The informants said that the water veins had a study room, tutoring, or academy. As tutoring became money, private education was used as a means of church business and expanded to tutoring, study rooms, and academies.

The’I want to know’ side revealed the target amount of the water veins’ donation. The informant said, “When I made it, I would have earned up to 20 million won. Since I asked for 10 million won more, I spent days and borrowed from my parents.” If they failed to donate a certain amount to Ansan Y Church, they were punished by corporal punishment. At the golden conference held by Pastor Oh’s wife, they embarrassed and harassed those who could not meet the promised amount. They made them assault each other and made them feel shame and insult.

In order to avoid corporal punishment immediately, they could not take a day off and were forced into extreme labor. One victim reported that he had not slept more than five hours a day for five to eight years before leaving the church. Pastor Oh’s family is said to have used the money they made to buy luxury watches, jewelry, expensive cars, and country houses.

The informants said, “There were some sayings not to poo,” and “Take dog dung or human dung and spread it in water and apply it to the face.” The informant who had suffered this confessed, “It was not easy to refuse because I was brainwashed there.”

In particular, most of the victims of’water veins’ married the members of the Y church in the birthplace at the direction of Pastor Oh’s wife as soon as they became adults. The believers who became married were even forced to conceive and give birth. There are 15 couples who have been forced to marry and give birth.

Children born between them were raised again as’Youngmaek’ or’Mulmaek’ through the joint parenting of the church. The victim of the Y church said, “I kept giving birth to a mother dog on a dog farm. Likewise, I formed a family so that I could not get out of this group.”

Reporter Jeong Yoon-seok, who first informed the world about the false suspicion of Pastor Oh 20 years ago, said, “I remember November, 2000. The first impression was that I was wearing very expensive clothes. I was wearing a ring with red jewels the size of a candy. This is a normal church. “No, I did.”

At that time, Pastor Oh said that he had already been expelled from the church for preaching pseudo doctrine. Officials from local churches reported that they were expelled from the denomination 20 years ago and were expelled from school. Since 20 years ago, Mr. Oh is not a pastor, and the church has not even been registered with the association.

Professor Tak Ji-il pointed out, “It is a criminal group filled with self-interest only by using the Bible and Christianity. I think it is a criminal organization, not a religion.” Professor Taekyung Kim pointed out that “we exploited everything that could be exploited over one person.”

Meanwhile, an arrest warrant was issued on the 14th for Pastor Oh of Ansan Y Church, who was accused of committing sexual violence, including forcibly harassing three female members from 2002 to 2016.
