Gangwon-do and Gangwon-do Economic Promotion Agency announced that it was finally selected as the lead agency for the Start-up Leap Package support project by the Ministry of Small and Medium Venture Businesses (dedicated agency: Startup Promotion Agency) in 2021 and secured government funding of about 10 billion won over the next two years.

The Start-up Leap Package Support Project is a business that provides customized services necessary for the growth of start-up companies, such as commercialization funds (up to 300 million won per company) and specialized programs to support innovative growth and scale-up of companies in the 3rd to 7th year of business. .

Since 2018, it has participated in the startup leap forward package project as a leading agency, and has provided 14.6 billion won in commercialization funds to 274 companies for three years until 2020, and achieved 19.5 billion won in investment attraction for participating companies.

In this competition, the SMEs evaluated the business performance of 20 leading agencies nationwide, which have been operating support projects so far, and selected the final 10 organizations to extend the project.

This project helps start-up companies create business outcomes by overcoming the Death Vally and supporting scale-up for companies in the start-up leap period.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to invest a total budget of KRW 102 billion for the start-up leap package project this year, and continue to strengthen the customized support system for each growth stage of start-up companies.

The Gangwon-do Economic Promotion Agency, which was selected as the supervisory agency, plans to support commercialization funding, start-up education, mentoring, marketing, and overseas expansion by discovering excellent start-up companies with innovative technologies from March this year.
