On the night of the 5th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 6th that it jointly inspected 123 entertainment facilities in Gangnam-gu with the Seoul Police Agency and the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and found 12 places, including 6 entertainment bars and 6 danran bars, that violated the quarantine rules.

Four entertainment pubs were found inadequate to fill out a disinfection ventilation register, one inadequate to fill in the number of users, one open after 10 pm, and three pubs in Danran were found inadequate filling out disinfection and ventilation registers, and three non-completed electronic access lists.

The city plans to apply the’One Strike Out System’ to the establishments found to be banned from gatherings, imposed a fine, and imposed a warning.

Park Yoo-mi, the quarantine control officer of the Seoul Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, said in an online briefing, “We plan to conduct intensive inspections until the violation of quarantine rules in entertainment facilities is eradicated.”

Park said that until the 18th, he will check violations of the quarantine rules of entertainment establishments throughout Seoul. “Businesses with even one violation are classified as’red establishments’, and the list is classified by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We will share it with safety countermeasures and provide special management.”

In order to prevent group infection in entertainment facilities, the city decided to conduct preliminary inspections for representatives, managers, and employees of entertainment facilities after urgent interviews with related organizations.

The city announced that it will start cracking down on the quarantine rules to calculate and post the number of people who can use it at the same time for 160,000 restaurants and cafes in the city.

Originally, the guiding period was until 12 p.m. on the 4th, so the crackdown was scheduled to take place from 0 p.m. on the 5th, but the city decided to extend the guiding period to 12 p.m. on the 11th.

This is a decision based on the judgment that it takes time for businesses to calculate and post the appropriate number of people available for use at the same time and to verify it through market price monitoring.
