S21 sales volume increased significantly compared to the S20… 4 years ago, the S8 level recovered
Galaxy S21 base model recorded half of total sales
According to market research firm Atlas Research & Consulting on the 5th, the Galaxy S21 series recorded 590,000 cumulative sales until the 4th week after its launch.
Atlas Research said, “As the domestic smartphone market recorded negative growth in recent years, the sales volume of flagship models also decreased. As of the first month, sales of Galaxy S21 recovered to the level of sales in the first month of the launch of the flagship model, Galaxy S8, four years ago. I did it,” he analyzed.
The surge in sales volume of the Galaxy S21 is attributed to the active marketing of mobile carriers seeking to expand 5G mobile communication (5G) subscribers and the increase in demand for long-term evolution (LTE) smartphone replacement.
The lower factory price cut compared to the previous work also seems to have affected. The factory price of the basic model for the’Galaxy S20′ was 12,48500 won, but the factory price of the basic model of the Galaxy S21 is set at 99,000,900 won, which relieves the psychological burden of purchasing.
The effect of lowering the factory price is also seen in the proportion of sales by detailed model of the Galaxy S21. In the case of the Galaxy S20, the sales proportion of the basic model, the plus model (1,353,000 won), and the ultra model (1595,000) were relatively even at 30.5%, 38.5%, and 31.0%, respectively, based on the sales volume of the first month after launch.
On the other hand, the proportion of basic model sales for the Galaxy S21 was 49.5%, which is nearly half of the total sales of the Galaxy S21 series. The sales ratio of the plus model (1199,000) and the ultra model (256GB 1.452,000 and 512GB 1.599,000) recorded 21.7% and 28.9%, respectively.
