The factory price of Samsung Electronics’ next-generation flagship smartphone’Galaxy S21′ has been confirmed to be 99,000,900 won. This is the first time that Samsung Electronics has released a 5G (5th generation mobile communication) flagship smartphone in Korea that costs less than 1 million won.
However, it is known that some of the specifications were lowered for this purpose, and the charger and earphone were removed from the basic components.
The Galaxy S21 Plus, which will be released along with the Galaxy S21, costs 1,199,000 won, the Galaxy S21 Ultra 256GB costs 1.452,000 won, and the Galaxy S21 Ultra 512GB costs 1.599400 won.
Samsung Electronics is expected to support the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus displays with lower FHD+ resolution than the previous version (QHD+) and install 8GB of RAM. The RAM capacity of the Galaxy S20 Plus was 12GB.
The top model, the Galaxy S21 Ultra, applies 12GB or more of RAM to the WQHD+ edge display. It is the first Galaxy S series to support the S Pen and plans to apply a 10x zoom telephoto camera to the 180 megapixel main camera.
It is interpreted that Samsung Electronics’ winning number of games to lower its price range is to make up for the sluggishness of the previous Galaxy S20 and to contain Apple’s iPhone 12 popularity. According to market research firm Strategy Analytics, Apple recorded 19.2% of the 5G smartphone market last year after two months of launching the iPhone, surpassing Samsung Electronics (15.1%) and ranking second.
Samsung Electronics will hold an unpack (new product release) event at 0 o’clock on the 15th in Korean time and unveil the Galaxy S20 series. BTS (BTS) is also expected to appear at this place. It starts on the same day in advance, opens on the 22nd, and is officially released on the 29th.
