Starting on the 28th, there will be no more than 10 people waiting in the bank.

On the 27th, the Federation of Banks of Korea announced the’Social Distance to Bank Branches’. This is a guideline tailored to the government’s new year-end quarantine measures. Accordingly, each bank restricts the number of customers in the branch waiting space (passenger hall) to 10 or less. For customers who have not been able to enter, mark the customer waiting line at the entrance of the branch, and guide them to keep the distance between customers at least 2m.

In the hall, we plan to operate guidelines such as seating with one space and the distance between the staff and the consultant, 2 m (at least 1.5 m). If it is not possible to extend the consultation distance to 1.5m due to the narrow space of the branch office, we will also actively consider closing some counters. For example, out of 5 counters, 2 and 4 are closed and only 1 and 3 are left.

Bank Federation Chairman Kim Kwang-soo said, “It is time for active participation of members of the society to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (Corona 19). Even if there are inconveniences due to restrictions on the number of guest rooms, we ask for your understanding as this is an inevitable measure for the safety of family and neighbors. Said. He said, “For everyday banking business, please use non-face-to-face channels such as the Internet as much as possible.”
