In particular, the snow that falls on this day starts with sleet and then turns into snow as the temperature drops, and it will fall strongly for a short time. Because of this, the visibility is short and there are many places where roads are slippery, so you need to pay attention to traffic safety on the way home from work.
Estimated snowfall is 2-7 cm in Seoul, and 3-10 cm of snow or about 5 mm of rain will fall in the eastern part of Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do (excluding the east coast), the northeastern Gyeongsang area, the Jeolla region (excluding the Jeollanam-do coast), the mountains of Jeju Island, Chungbuk, Ulleungdo and Dokdo .
There are some places where snow falls over 15cm in the inland of eastern Jeolla and the mountains of Jeju Island.
In Incheon, the west of Gyeonggi, the inland of the Gyeongbuk region (excluding the northern mountains), the west of Gyeongsang, the southern coast of Jeonnam, the Chungnam region, the Jeju Island (excluding the mountains), and the 5th West Sea, snowfall of 1 to 5 cm or less than 5 mm of rain is expected.
On the east coast of Gangwon and the east coast of North Gyeongsang Province, there will be about 1 cm of snow or less than 5 mm of rain.
The highest temperature during the day was forecast to be 0-11 degrees.
The concentration of fine dust is expected to be’good’ to’medium’ in all areas. However, in the metropolitan area, Chungcheong area, Honam area, and Jeju area, the concentration of fine dust is expected to be temporarily high in the afternoon.
On the west coast and Jeju Island, there are places where high waves caused by swells cross coastal roads or breakwaters.
On the sea before this day, the wind will blow very strongly and the waves will rise very high. In particular, in the far sea of the East Sea, there is a risk of maritime accidents with very high waves of up to 8.0m or more.
The waves of the sea will rise from 0.5 to 3.0 m off the east and south seas and 1.0 to 4.0 m off the west sea. The wave height of the far sea is expected to be 1.0 to 6.0 m in the east and south seas, and 1.5 to 6.0 m in the west sea.
