A former council member of the Democratic Party of Busan who made inappropriate physical contact with a female restaurant employee was handed over to trial.

The Busan District Prosecutor’s Office announced on the 2nd that it had prosecuted member A of the Busan City Council on charges of forced harassment. According to the prosecution, lawmaker A is accused of making inappropriate physical contact, such as grabbing the forearm while sweeping down the right under the shoulder of a female employee who visited a restaurant in Saha-gu, Busan on August 5 last year.

On the 11th of the same month, on the 11th of the same month, when Assemblyman A returned to the restaurant and made unnecessary physical contact and rude behavior, the victim reported to the police. The police, who received the report, sent Congressman A to the prosecution with an opinion of prosecution based on closed circuit TV (CCTV) analysis in October last year.

Immediately after the incident, the Democratic Party of Korea expelled Congressman A. On the other hand, the Busan City Council imposed a 30-day disciplinary punishment for Member A for suspension of attendance.
