Young French people were caught gathering in a rural village for a New Year’s party. The party, held on the last day of 2020, attracted about 2,500 people from all over France as well as from Spain, England and Belgium.

According to the AP news agency on the 2nd (local time), the French police arrested 1,200 people for non-wearing masks, violating curfew, and possessing prohibited substances in a warehouse in Lieuron in Brittany on the 31st of last month and imposed a fine. Two people who were supposed to be the main drivers were arrested.

The police said that one police car burned and three were damaged in the process of suppressing the party. Some of the people who quarreled were injured by sickness and stones.

The party was completely dissolved only this morning. However, some participants said they plan to stay on the 3rd or 5th of AFP.
