The half-brother of King Abdullah II of Jordan, who is known to be under house arrest, said he would not comply with the order to prohibit external contact.

On the 5th (local time), according to foreign media such as the Associated Press, a voice file of Prince Hamza bin Hussein, 41, is being circulated on social network service (SNS) in Jordan.

The file was sent by Prince Hamza to one of his acquaintances, and said that he was under house arrest and that the military had forbidden contact with the outside world.

In an audio file, Hamja said, “The chief of staff came to me and threatened me with the name of the heads of the intelligence agency,” he said.

He said, “The chief of staff is not allowed to leave the house, only family members can meet. They should not use Twitter or contact other people,” he said.

He added, “I didn’t take immediate action because I didn’t want to expand the situation, but I don’t intend to follow instructions to limit freedom.”

The Associated Press reported that the audio file, through close proximity to Prince Hamza, who requested anonymity, confirmed that the audio file was created after the Chief of Staff threatened him several days ago.

Prince Hamza was born to King Hussein bin Talal, former king of Jordan, and Queen Nur, his fourth wife.

Upon the death of former king Hussein in 1999, the eldest son Abdullah II took over the throne on behalf of his uncle Hassan bin Talal, who was then the crown prince.

And Abdullah II appointed his half-brother, Prince Hamza, as the royal priesthood according to his father’s will.

However, Abdullah II deprived Prince Hamza of the crowning status in 2004, and since then, Prince Hamza has been a barbarian.
