The power of the people called for the immediate resignation of Mapo-gu, a 33-year-old member of the Democratic Party, who held a late-night alcohol party.

Deputy spokesman Park Gi-nyeong commented on the 29th and said, “It is hard to believe that the councilor who should be a model for the people in this situation is a party room drinking party at night. Because of what kind of complaints, the town is so loud at 11 pm that music is so loud. “It’s just embarrassing if you even had a drinking party with a big play,” he criticized. “If there is a minimum of contempt, the Democratic Party apologizes to the public and look back if the lawmakers themselves are qualified. Resignation is the answer.”

Rep. Chae was caught by the police at 11 pm on the 28th at 11 pm in a party room near Hapjeong Station in Mapo-gu while having a ‘5 people’ drink party in violation of the’ban or more ban’ order. Police were dispatched to reports from nearby residents that loud music was heard until late at night.

Rep. Chae explained that it was a meeting with local residents through a broadcaster, and that he couldn’t get out because of the difficulties of the self-employed, and that it was an office rather than a party room.

The people’s power sniped against this, saying, “I thought it was an office, and there is no excuse for being a place to meet the difficulties of self-employed people.”

Chae is a former secretary to the office of Congressman Chung Cheong-rae, and was elected in the Ma district of Mapo-gu, Seoul in 2018.

The JoongAng Ilbo tried to contact the lawmaker several times to hear the controversy, but there was no answer.
