The Korean Football Association held a general meeting of delegates held at the Seoul Shinmunro Football Center on the 27th, and appointed 22 executives and two auditors, including 6 vice presidents, 5 subcommittee chairs, and 11 board members.

The features of this executive division are the emphasis on expertise and expansion of female executives. Ewha Womans University professor Hong Eun-ah (41), a former international judge, was the first woman to serve as vice-chairman. Announcer Shin Ah-young and game supervisor Kim Jin-hee (40) joined the association as women as new directors.

Announcer Shin A-young, a Harvard graduate who speaks English, German, and Spanish, freely spoken in English, German, and Spanish. After entering the broadcasting industry as a sports announcer in 2011, he established a relationship with various sports. In particular, while conducting various soccer-related programs, he was also called the’football goddess’. Announcer Shin A-young, who declared pre-declaration in 2014, steadily worked with the football world, including holding a press conference for the president of the International Football Federation (FIFA) Gianni Infantino.

The board of directors has also changed drastically. In order to reflect the voice of the field in the policy, people from various fields such as broadcasting, game supervisors, administrators, etc., were appointed while attending leaders from elementary school to professionals. Meanwhile, the association revised the articles of incorporation on the term of office of executives at the general meeting of the delegates. The existing executives’ term of office was four years, but the 54th executive department changed the term of offices of executives excluding the chairman to two years. The intention is to determine whether or not to continue working by evaluating the two years of activities.

In addition, the general meeting of the delegates approved the 2020 settlement amount. In 2020, KFA recorded an income of 66.58 billion won and an expenditure of 70.29 billion won. Compared to the previous year’s 2019 settlement plan (income 94.15 billion won and expenditure 92.2 billion won), income decreased by 29.4% and expenditure decreased by 23.8%.

In terms of income, as various competitions and competitions were canceled due to Corona 19, the entrance fee revenue decreased by 78.2% to 60 million won, 99.3% compared to the previous year (2019), and the broadcasting right revenue to 2.23 billion won. On the other hand, it minimized losses by reducing expenses by about 22 billion won through efforts to reduce costs.

An official of the association said, “Even in the harsh situation where major incomes are drastically reduced due to the aftermath of Corona 19, all executives and staff members participated to reduce costs, and the extent of losses that were initially expected could be mitigated.”
