A 40-year-old office worker who tried to kill a teenage woman who first saw it on the street at dawn was followed up to the women’s bathroom in the building and then struck her head with a brick and was sentenced to prison.

It was investigated that he committed the so-called’Do not ask crime’, saying that he was in bad mood with his job.

The first criminal division of the Bucheon Branch of the Incheon District Court (presiding judge Im Hae-ji) announced on the 8th that he sentenced A (44), an office worker accused of attempting murder, to three years in prison.

Mr. A was accused of attempting to murder Ms. B (19) five times with bricks in the women’s bathroom on the fourth floor of a building in Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do at 0:49 on September 16 last year.

It was investigated that he committed the crime after chasing Miss B who first saw him on the street on the day of the incident.

Mr. A’s crime was stopped by a PC cafe employee who ran after hearing B’s scream “Please help”.

It was found that Mr. A was upset when he had to change his job while he was thinking that he had been treated unfairly at work.

He was punished for violent crime three times in the past, and in 1997 he used a brick to smash the victim’s head and inflict a skull fracture, and he had a history of being sentenced to one year and six months in prison and three years probation.

In the trial, Mr. A claimed, “It is true that the victim was injured with bricks, but there was no intention of murder.”

However, the judge presupposes that “the intention of murder is not necessarily recognized only if there is a purpose or intentional intention of the murder,” and “if it predicts the possibility or danger of death from acts such as assault, the intention is recognized.”

“The defendant chased the victim to the women’s restroom where no one was present at midnight, and he prepared in advance a broken brick for a sidewalk block that would be difficult for an adult male to hold with one hand.” If you do, the willfulness of murder is sufficiently recognized.”

The judge added, “The defendant committed a crime against a victim who had no one-sided expression just because he was not in a good mood,” and added, “The crime is very bad for committing a crime against women.”

In addition, “the defendant who denied the intentionality of the murder did not show serious reflection while making an unconvincing argument,” he said. “We considered the fact that the murder was only attempted.”
