Myanmar Ambassador Cho Mo Tun Joo-en, in a speech at the UN General Assembly, appealed for the immediate end of the military coup and the international community’s support for this.

This is the first high-ranking official in Myanmar to openly condemn a coup to the international community while the majority of public officials are dying in the wake of the Ciperan military regime.

According to foreign media, Myanmar Ambassador Joo-Yen made it clear at the UN General Assembly on the 26th (local time) that he was not a military regime that took power by a coup, but a civilian government established with a private will. He emphasized that the coup is unacceptable and must fail.

In addition, Myanmar Ambassador to the United Nations urged the international community to take necessary steps to immediately end the coup and stop repression of innocent citizens, while returning state power to the people so that democracy can be restored.

Ambassador Cho Mo Tun’s speech, who criticized the military administration, received a lot of applause, the foreign media reported.

At the end of his speech, a photo of a’three-finger salute’ used as a symbol of coup resistance among the people of Myanmar spread on social media.

The three-finger salute was borrowed from the movie “The Hunger Games,” and was used as a symbol of resistance in anti-government protests in Thailand, but it has also spread among the people of Myanmar after the coup.

US Secretary of State Tony Blincoln and the UN ambassadors of each country also praised his courage through Twitter.

“The United States praises Ambassador Cho Mo Thun’s courageous and clear statement,” Blincoln wrote. “It should pay attention to their demands to restore democracy in Burma (myanmar’s old name).”

The courageous actions of Myanmar’s ambassador to the United Nations appear to have made a strong impression, especially on the Myanmarians. Videos and full texts of his speeches are spreading widely.

Meanwhile, the military government dismissed the Ambassador of Myanmar to the United Nations from the post of ambassador to the United Nations the day after the speech at the UN General Assembly.

State-run MRTV reported that Ambassador Cho Mo Toon had been dismissed from his post for betraying his home country.
