First criminal trial for the late prosecutor Kim Hong-young for assault

The first criminal trial of former chief prosecutor Kim Dae-hyun (52/27), who led the late prosecutor Kim Hong-young as an extreme choice, will be held on the 12th.

On September 14, last year, at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office in Seocho-gu, Seoul, the survivors of the late prosecutor Kim Hong-young, who made extreme choices after suffering violent verbal abuse and assault, and the prosecutor Kim’s 41st class member of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, etc. In order to urge prompt investigation by the prosecution, an application for convocation of the'Prosecution Investigation Review Committee' is being submitted.  Former Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Prosecutor Dae-Hyun Kim, who is investigating in the first criminal division of the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office, was recognized as a result of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office's prosecutor's office for two years, which led him to an extreme choice in May 2016. He was dismissed.  At the time, the prosecution headquarters did not accuse former manager Kim, saying,

On the morning of this morning, Judge Joon-hyuk Kim, the 5th criminal justice of the Seoul Central District Court, holds the first trial of former chief prosecutor Kim, who was charged with assault.

Former chief prosecutor Kim is scheduled to attend the court on this day.

When former chief prosecutor Kim served at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office in 2016, he was handed over to trial on charges of assaulting Prosecutor Kim four times from March to May.

Prosecutor Kim, who was 33 years old at the time, was found dead at home in May of that year, leaving a suicide note expressing pressure on her organizational life.

As a result of a fact-finding investigation by the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office, it was revealed that former chief prosecutor Kim used habitual violent remarks and assaults against him.

The Ministry of Justice dismissed former chief prosecutor Kim in August of the same year, but did not punish him.

At the time, the prosecution headquarters did not accuse former manager Kim, saying, “It is not enough to lead to criminal punishment.”

Meanwhile, former chief prosecutor Kim was accused not only of assault, but also of insults and coercion by the Korean Bar Association, but the prosecution concluded with’no public prosecution’ and’no charges’, but was not included in the prosecution.
