The Blue House said at a press conference for President Moon Jae-in’s New Year that “the controversy itself is curious” about the claim that a reporter intentionally’cursed her fingers’ online.

Blue House spokesman Kang Min-seok said at a briefing on the 19th, “I was also at the scene, but I didn’t feel that this controversy itself was insulting enough to be puzzled,” and “the president did not feel any displeasure.”

After President Moon’s New Year’s press conference held on the 18th, Kim Yong-min, a broadcaster who was a member of the internet radio’I’m a Trick’, raised a’finger curse controversy’ through his Facebook. In the photo shared by Mr. Kim, the reporter inquiring is holding the notebook and paper at the same time using his index and middle fingers. Although it was stopped, it was out of the notebook and it was misunderstood. Accordingly, supporters of the pro-moon criticized the reporter with comments such as “I will break my finger.”

Mr. Kim also insisted, “Isn’t this a message for the president,” and “Please clarify.”
