On the 31st, the transfer of corona19 confirmed patients who were waiting for bed at the Bucheon Hyoplus Nursing Hospital to other hospitals and life treatment centers was completed.

Gyeonggi-do Corona 19 Emergency Response Director Lim Seung-gwan explained the transfer status of confirmed patients in nursing hospitals waiting for a shortage of beds at a regular press conference this afternoon.

As of 0 o’clock on this day, 5 people waiting at Bucheon Hyo Plus Nursing Hospital were transferred to the hospital or life treatment center on that day.

So far, there are 127 confirmed cases transferred from Hyoplus Nursing Hospital in Bucheon, and there are no confirmed cases remaining at the nursing hospital.

Along with this, five new confirmed patients from the Bucheon Paulo Nursing Hospital will be transferred to the Red Cross Hospital in Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and nursing personnel supported by the Central Accident Recovery Headquarters (heavy water version) are urgently introduced.

Manager Lim said, “After the initial quarantine measures of these facilities were taken, there was no medical staff to take care of the patients, so urgent input of medical personnel was necessary. And Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters provided emergency support for medical personnel, and as beds were secured through cooperation with Gyeonggi Medical Center and many private medical institutions, it was possible to transfer waiting people in the facility to hospitals.”

There are a total of 1003 hospital beds secured by medical institutions in the province, including hospital beds for general and severe patients, and the bed utilization rate is 77.6% (778 beds). Of these, 97 beds are used to treat severe patients, and 68 are being used, and the current utilization rate is 70.1%.

Director Lim said, “Corona 19 cannot be overcome with efforts alone. The wishes of numerous quarantine agents and the actual management of infectious diseases and observance of quarantine rules must go hand in hand. “I wish the coming 2021, the sadness of the past, to disappear and only good things to be filled. In addition, while working in their own lives, please be sure to observe personal quarantine rules and social distancing, such as wearing a mask.”
