(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Kyung-yoon = Next-generation Korean female figure skating signs Hae-in Lee (Sehwa Girls’ High School) and Ye-rim Kim (Surigo) ranked 10th and 11th in the women’s singles at the World Championships, respectively, and won two copies of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

The two athletes performed well in the women’s single free skating at the 2021 International Ice Skating Federation (ISU) World Championships in Figure Skating held at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden on the 27th (Korean time).

In this competition, if the combined number of the two athletes is 13 or less, they will get 3 cards in the Beijing Winter Olympics Quarter, 2 cards if they are between 14 and 28, and 1 card if they exceed 28. The two players will be ranked 10th and 11th. Recorded and successfully acquired 2 cards.

Korean figure skating has dispatched more than two athletes to the women’s singles event in four consecutive Olympic Games.

In the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Kim Yu-na and Kwak Min-jeong, and the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics included Kim Yeon-ah, Kim Ha-jin, and Park So-yeon (ideally retired).

The two players who will compete in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics will be selected for separate domestic selection.

Lee Hae-in and Kim Ye-rim must compete again in the selection.

Lee Hae-in recorded a total of 124.50 points in Free Skating that day, with a technical score (TES) of 62.07 points, an art score (PCS) of 63.43 points and a deduction.

He finished 10th with a total of 193.44 points with a total of 68.94 points for the short program.

Lee Hae-in, who took 8th place in the short program, sighed and started acting as if feeling the pressure of a big stage.

He tried the first jump task vigorously in line with the Black Swan OST, but a mistake came out.

Tried the triple lutz-triple toe loop combination jump and fell while shaking at the landing.

Lee Hae-in was even judged under rotated (when the number of rotations of the jump is not more than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees), and his performance score (GOE) was reduced by 2.95 points.

Lee Hae-in, who got up immediately, smoothly handled the double axel, triple loop, and triple flip.

Lee Haein, who refined his breath with the Flying Camel Spin (Level 3) and Step Sequence (Level 4), was judged underrotated again in the Double Axel-Triple To Loop combination jump.

He improved the performance of his acting with Rayback Spin (Level 4), and then performed the Triple Lutz-Double Toe Loop-The Bluff combination jump. Again, underrotated came out.

The last jump task, Triple Salko, ran neatly. The changefoot combination spin received level 4.

Kim Ye-rim, who finished fifth in the short program, received the highest personal score and was somewhat sluggish.

He scored only 118.15 points with a free skating technical score (TES) of 55.24, an art score (PCS) of 64.91 and a deduction of 2 points.

The total score of the short program was 191.78 points, ranking 11th.

He was performing his second jump task, the double axel-triple toe loop combination jump, but he couldn’t connect the triple toe loop jump as the center wobbled.

In the second half of the acting, he fell while playing Triple Lutz and Triple Salko.

The first, second and third place women’s singles were swept away by Russian players. Anna Sherbakova won the championship with a final total of 233.17 points. In second place was Elizabeth Tuktamisheva (220.46 points), and Alexandra Trusova (217.20 points) in third place.

The Russian players played for the Russian Ice Skating Federation, not for the Russian national team.

The Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) finalized a discipline limiting participation in Russia’s major international sports competitions until 2022 on charges of manipulating doping samples in December last year.
