“Fear of heavy snow and cold waves” Bae Min and riders provide 5,000 heat vests for free

Elegance brothers, a nationwide operator of delivery, provided cold weather supplies worth 200 million won, including heat vests, for riders and connectors.

On the 29th, the graceful brothers announced that they are distributing 5,000 heating vests for free to pay-as-you-go riders, Baemin Connector, and B Mart workers who perform the delivery work of Baemin Riders and B Mart.

Payment targets are all riders and connectors that have delivered more than 10 cases since December 1, 2020. The graceful brothers will distribute a total of 3,000 copies at the Baemin Riders Southern Center and Western Center in Seoul, and will provide 500 copies through the KCTU Service Federation, a representative bargaining union. The remaining 1,500 copies are provided to workers at the B Mart distribution center.

It is explained that the payment of the heating vest was prepared to prevent hypothermia and injuries of riders and connectors that deliver during heavy snow and cold waves. It is said to take into account the characteristics of the delivery service where the exposure time to the cold is long and the perceived temperature can drop significantly due to the headwind. The provided heating vest is a high-functional product that allows the wearer to select the heating stage by himself, and the list price is 69900 won. It is small in volume and light, but it is made of special material, so it has high heat retention. Bae Min’s side also purchased a battery for controlling the temperature of the vest, a separately sold product, and paid it together. Earlier, the elegant brothers gave riders about 100,000 hot packs and 2,300 cold towels last winter.

Graceful Brothers Kwon Yong-gyu, head of the Value Management Division, said, “The delivery ecosystem is healthy only when riders and connectors can safely and warmly go to the delivery day.” Said.
