FC Seoul’s veteran midfielder Ki Sung-yong (32) will be starting out for two consecutive games in the opening of the K-League 1 professional football.
Ki Sung-yong was assigned as Seoul’s starting midfielder in the home game of HanawonQ K League 1 2021 Round 2 against Suwon FC, which will be held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium from 4:30 pm on the 7th.
Ki Sung-yong was selected for two consecutive K-League matches in the 2021 season, amid suspicions of sexual violence against his soccer juniors when he was in elementary school.
He started as a starter during the official opening game of the first round league against Jeonbuk Hyundai held in Jeonju on the 27th of last month, but changed to Han Chan-hee during the first half.
Director Park Jin-seop, who revealed Ki Sung-yong’s condition as a reason for the replacement at the time, said, “I don’t have a serious injury, but I think I am uncomfortable.
“If you don’t get bad while running, you have no problem digesting 90 minutes because you’ve been training well.”
Regarding the situation in which Ki Sung-yong has no choice but to pay attention outside the game, Park said, “I don’t have much to say in particular.”
There is also a captain role, so I talked about that part.”
Seoul put Park Joo-young in the forefront offensive, Na Sang-ho-Palosevich-Cho Young-wook in the second line, and Ki Sung-yong and Osmar in Jungwon.
The defenders consisted of Go Kwang-min, Kim Won-gyun, Hwang Hyun-soo, and Yoon Jong-gyu, and Yang Han-bin wears the goalkeeper’s gloves.
In Suwon FC, Cho Sang-jun, Lee Ki-hyuk, and Kim Seung-joon will start.
Midfielder Han Seung-gyu and defender Yoon Young-seon, who played in Seoul as loan players last season, also start.
In the first round against Daegu FC, attacker Yang Dong-hyun, who missed during the first half due to a hamstring injury, was excluded.
