The medical community is demanding that Cho Min, 30, the eldest daughter of former Justice Minister Cho Kuk, be suspended from the status of a doctor. After Mr. Cho applied for an intern at the National Medical Center (NMC), controversy is growing.

On the 29th, Tae-wook Yoo, chairman of the Korean Family Medical Association, issued a statement demanding that the Central Ethics Committee of the Korean Medical Association (medical association) decide promptly to suspend Mr. Cho’s medical license. In addition, it insisted that the Medical Association should request the Ministry of Health and Welfare to suspend the qualifications for Mr. Cho.

Chairman Yoo said, “The Medical Association Ethics Committee resolves to suspend Mr. Cho’s medical qualifications,” he said.

Chairman Yoo said, “The suspicion that Mr. Cho mobilized various illegal activities during the admission process for both Korea University and Pusan National University was revealed, and yet many doctors are embarrassed by obtaining a doctor’s license.” If the cause of Mr. Cho’s doctor’s license is invalid, the doctor’s license must be suspended until the Supreme Court’s final decision because it is in a situation where he has been treated by an unqualified person.

Meanwhile, Jo applied for an internship at the Central Medical Center in the first half of 2021 and even interviewed him, but he failed that day. On the 23rd of last month, the first trial court of Professor Kyung-Shim Chung of Dongyang University decided that Cho’s ‘7 Specs’ was false. The judiciary admitted guilty to Professor Jeong’s charges, including irregularities in the entrance exam, and sentenced him to four years in prison and a fine of 500 million won. Professor Jeong was arrested in court.
