Vehicles returning home on the 11th, the first day of the Lunar New Year holiday, are crowded, and highways across the country are expected to become extremely congested around 12:00 noon. The congestion on the way home is expected to be resolved around this evening.

According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, on the 11th, the Korea Expressway Corporation predicted that there will be 3.78 million vehicles per day. It is estimated that 460,000 vehicles exit the metropolitan area from the metropolitan area to 420,000 vehicles entering the metropolitan area.

On this day (11th), the downbound expressway from Seoul to the provinces is expected to be cleared around 5-6 pm, with peak congestion around 11 am to 12 pm.

The congestion on the upbound highway towards Seoul is expected to get worse around 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and then resolve around 4 to 5 p.m.

In particular, congestion is expected mainly due to the habitual congestion section such as the entry section to the metropolitan area. It will be crowded from Dongtan to Anseong base point on the Gyeongbu line toward Busan, and from Cheonan to Nami junction.

In the direction of Seoul on the Gyeongbu line, it is expected that the turtles will run from Giheung Dongtan to Suwon Shingal, and Geumto to Yangjae.
