On the 3rd, Korea Gas Safety Corporation (President Haejong Lim) announced on the 3rd that it held a safety management council to secure the safety of butane cans and prevent accidents in the conference room of the Chungnam regional headquarters. The council was held while complying with the quarantine regulations in accordance with the government guidelines for Corona 19 with the participation of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, including the Gas Safety Corporation, and officials from six domestic butane can manufacturers.
The council continued to discuss overall discussions on improving the safety of butane cans and countermeasures to prevent accidents, such as △ mandatory butane can rupture prevention device △ expansion of warning pictures for user precautions △ improvement of butane can rupture safety.

In addition, various countermeasures are being pursued, such as strengthening the thickness of butane cans, obligating combustor safety devices, and expanding public relations for safe use tips.
In the case of butane can accidents, accidents continue to occur due to an increase in demand and failure to comply with safety rules by users. As of this year, 5 butane can rupture accidents have occurred, and it is necessary to implement special measures to reduce butane can accidents.
