Chairman Kim Bong-jin (pictured) of the elegant brothers who run the nation of delivery was caught up in a stake ownership dispute.

Grace Brothers Former Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and co-founding member Lee Eun-ho claimed on his Facebook page on the 28th that he illegally owned a share of the stock that Chairman Kim Bong-jin decided to return. According to Mr. Lee’s Facebook, in January 2013, Mr. Lee decided to return the shares at a later date at the request of Chairman Kim and donated his shares of his shares.

Chairman Kim is known to have appealed that management rights could be weakened in the process of attracting investment at the time. Mr. Lee said, “I assumed that I was asking all the founding members and asked to leave my stocks to myself,” he said.

Later, Lee left his graceful brothers in November 2013 to pursue other projects. Then, at the beginning of last year, I contacted Chairman Kim to return the stock he had left, but Chairman Kim replied that he had not promised to give it back. Mr. Lee explained, “Chairman Kim Bong-jin did not remember the time and said that there was no content that he would return the gift document that was written at the time.” He then appealed, “Is this the only ending to me, the only founding member who asked for help by the CEO and entrusted with stocks?”

The elegant brothers explained that it was “Mr. Lee’s one-sided argument.” The graceful brothers said that Lee has transferred and donated shares to other shareholders four times since 2012 and realized profits in the process. An official of the elegant brothers said, “There are documents that can prove the stock exchange process at the time,” and “we will proceed with a defamation lawsuit against Lee.”

Chairman Kim is in the process of another lawsuit related to the stake. A businessman who ran the nation’s operation in the early years last year filed a contract lawsuit against Chairman Kim for not receiving the stake he had promised. With the rapid growth of the delivery’s national service, the debate seems to continue over the initial unclear equity relationship. The elegant brothers were recognized for the corporate value of 4.75 trillion won in 2019.
