◇ Expansion of supply base for popularization of pollution-free vehicles

Strengthen support for high-efficiency vehicles to improve the performance of pollution-free vehicles and to induce price reduction.

In order to provide more subsidies to electric vehicles with high battery efficiency, the percentage of mileage in the subsidy was reduced from 50% to 40%, and the ratio of fuel consumption (km/kH), which is considered an indicator of battery efficiency, increased from 50% to 60%. do.

In addition, in order to improve the problem of performance degradation in winter, incentives of up to 500,000 won will be given to energy-efficient vehicles with excellent driving distances at low temperatures (-7°C) compared to room temperature (23°C).

Local subsidies are also differentiated in proportion to the government subsidies calculated based on electric vehicle performance.

In the case of hydrogen cars, the subsidy support unit price is maintained at 22.5 million won, considering that it is in the early stages of supply.

In addition, subsidy support standards are differentiated for each price segment. The intention is to induce price cuts by increasing support for mass-priced vehicles.

Vehicles with more than 90 million won are excluded from the application, and only 50% of the calculated amount is provided for less than 60 million to 90 million won.

For less than KRW 60 million, the full amount is paid.

Accordingly, last year, 200,000 won was paid to the target vehicle, but this year, in addition to 200,000 won, an additional amount of 100,000 to 300,000 won will be given.

For micro-cars with high demand for small self-employed and small business owners, the subsidy will be increased from 512 million won to 6 million won, and the quantity will be allocated to SMEs separately.

The subsidy support amount is also allocated to participating companies, including leasing/rental cars and K-EV100 (a public declaration that the vehicle will be converted to 100% pollution-free vehicles by 2030) to accelerate the corporation’s conversion to pollution-free vehicles.

◇ Hydrogen commercial vehicles This year’s bus pilot project, expanded to taxis and freight cars in 2023… Government “Limited Tesla support is not discrimination

The government decided to increase the supply of electric buses to 1,000 units, but to reduce the subsidy for large buses from KRW 100 million to KRW 80 million, reflecting the trend of vehicle price cuts. The minimum self-pay for buyers was set at 100 million won.

In the case of hydrogen buses, the subsidy support unit price (government and local expenses each 150 million won) is maintained, but the amount of support will be expanded from 60 to 180 units.

Subsidies for the promotion of the hydrogen truck pilot project (state and local expenses of 200 million won each) will also be established.

In addition, fuel subsidies for commercial hydrogen vehicles will be introduced to buses, taxis, and trucks that are eligible for subsidies for oil prices.

This year, a pilot project was started for buses, and after being introduced to buses in 2022, it will be expanded to taxis and trucks in 2023.

Subsidies are paid equal to the difference in fuel cost between hydrogen vehicles and conventional vehicles.

The unit price of the hydrogen bus subsidy was calculated at 3,500 won/kg.

In addition, to stabilize the electric motorcycle market, the supply volume will be expanded from 11,000 to 20,000 units, and the subsidy for small electric motorcycles will be maintained at 2.6 million won.

The guidelines were announced at the end of last year, and the final draft will be announced on the 21st after collecting opinions by the 19th of this month.

By next month, the Passenger Vehicle and Freight Vehicle Transportation Business Act will be amended to lay the groundwork for the payment of fuel subsidies for commercial hydrogen vehicles.
