The subjects of this study were 93 patients with arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. According to the superscapular nerve block method for postoperative pain control, the ultrasound guided block group and the arthroscopic block group were compared.

As a result, the arthroscopy had a clear and effective nerve blocking effect. It has also been confirmed that the risk of complications is low if the procedure is performed on the peripheral nerve rather than the central nerve.

The research team also proposed PCA catheterization, called painless injection, after rotator cuff suture and upper scapular nerve block, and injecting analgesics.
