[강원도민일보 윤종진 기자] Starting today, you can reserve train tickets through’Kakao T’and’Naver Map’ without Korail Talk.

Korea Railroad announced that it will expand the ticket reservation service, which had been provided by Korail Talk, to Naver, Naver Map, and Kakao T apps. As a result, Kakao T/Naver members can purchase tickets immediately, even if they are not railroad members or KORAIL Talk, and the service opening time is 10 am today, the 1st.

The train ticket reservation service provided through the Kakao T app can be reserved by accessing the newly created’train’ menu on the first screen of the app. After searching based on the location of the departure and destination, and receiving a recommendation for the best railroad route, it goes to the ticket reservation screen. Tickets issued can be checked in the service menu. In addition, if you add the’KORAIL Notification Talk’ channel in’Kakao Talk’ as a friend, you can go to the ticket reservation screen of the Kakao T app from the corresponding chat room, and a service to directly book a ticket from’Kakao Talk’ is also being prepared.

For railroad ticket reservation services provided through the Naver and Naver Map app, a reservation screen appears when you enter a keyword related to a ticket such as KTX or train ticket reservation in the Naver search box. At this time, if you set the departure/arrival station, check the train timetable, and select a seat, the payment screen will appear. Tickets issued can be checked in the’My Reservation’ menu of the Naver App, and the’Naver Map’ app newly established’Train Inquiry/Reservation’, and when you select the menu, you can access the ticket reservation screen.

Korea Railroad President Son Byeong-seok said, “We will enhance the convenience of rail users and continue to expand non-face-to-face online services by reinforcing collaboration with platforms used by many people like Naver and Kakao.”
