The chairman of the organizing committee of the Japan Olympics has announced that it is not possible to reenact the Tokyo Olympics.
According to Japan Daily Sports on the 12th local time, Yoshiro Mori, chairman of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee, held an online lecture on the theme of the Olympics on this day.
He said, “I don’t know what kind of judgment will be made about the Olympics,” he said. “From my point of view, I can’t say that this year (to hold the Tokyo Olympics) is difficult.”
“This is not a matter of money,” he said. “It is difficult to extend the period of dispatch as the members of the organizing committee, who play a key role in the Olympics, have been dispatched from government departments.”
Even if the majority of the people oppose it, they will promote the event this year.
According to a poll released today by NHK, 38% of Japanese said, “We have to stop the Olympics” when asking for pros and cons of hosting the Tokyo Olympics, and 39% said “we have to postpone it again.”
Eight out of 10 voted against the event this year.
In a poll released by Kyodo News Agency three days ago, 44.8% of Japanese responded that they should cancel their reenactment and 35.3%.

He also commented on the negative poll results for hosting the Olympics.
“I cannot tell you to ignore the poll results, but there are times and conditions for polls,” Mori said.
He said, “There is a commotion as Corona 19 spreads. How would you respond when you ask,’What do you think of hosting the Olympics?’
He pointed out, “It’s important to see the trend of public opinion, but why do you have to do a questionnaire asking’Why should we play the Olympics?'” he said, “I have a question.”
In addition, he said, “I think I will have to watch the infection situation” as to whether foreign audiences are admitted.
