Distribution prices, including hypermarkets, have been adjusting the business hours of most stores. Starting on the 15th, the government is taking steps to normalize while easing the’social distancing’ step to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19).

According to the distribution industry, large marts such as E-Mart, Lotte Mart, and Homeplus have changed their policy of closing at 9:00 pm, which was temporarily operated, as the operating time limit has disappeared according to the social distancing stage. In the case of E-Mart and Lotte Mart, most of them are open until 11 pm except for some branches, and Homeplus is open until midnight.

However, restaurants and cafes in hypermarkets are subject to the government’s business hours restrictions. As the indoor business hours for restaurants and cafes in the metropolitan area have been extended to 10 pm from 9 pm, it is expected to adjust according to the policies of each store.

In the case of department stores, the closing times of some restaurants are adjusted. This is because the department store closed before 9 PM even before the Corona 19 incident. Shinsegae Department Store extends the restaurant area to 9:30 pm, and Hyundai Department Store operates the restaurant area until 10 pm.

In the case of outlets, Lotte Premium Outlets will extend the closing hours for 12 downtown stores on Fridays and weekends to 10 pm. Hyundai Department Store City Outlets Dongdaemun branch and Gasan branch also extended their business hours by 30 minutes to open until 9:30 pm.

However, some department store-affiliated buildings, such as Lotte Young Plaza’s main branch and Lotte Busan’s Gwangbok branch, Aqua Mall, will maintain shortened business hours.
