“The person who abused me is named Brian Warner. He is also known as Marilyn Manson,” Wood wrote.
Wood, born in 1987, developed into a romantic relationship with Manson, who was 18 years old, in 2007 when he was 19, and in 2010 he got engaged, but soon broke up. The two had been dating for about three years.
“He (Marilyn Manson) started grooming (taming) me when I was a teenager, and he abused me horribly for years,” Wood revealed.
“I was brainwashed by him and manipulated to obey him,” he added. “I lived in fear of retaliation, slander, and intimidation.”
“But now I’m trying to make sure that his exposure to this dangerous man no longer ruins the lives of others. I will be with many victims.”
Wood previously said he was a victim of sexual assault, domestic violence, and abuse, but did not reveal who the other person was. Since then, Wood has actively taken the lead in protecting victims of sexual and domestic violence.
Several other women, including Ashley Walters, who served as Manson’s personal assistant after Wood’s revelation, and Gabriela known as artist SourGirrrl, also issued a statement on social media accusing Manson of victims of abuse and sexual assault.
