Together with his wife, Mrs. Ji-seon Ji-seon, he arrived with his eldest sister Jeong-seong (59), an advisor to Innocean, and Mae-hyung Soo-hoon, the chairman of Sun Hospital in the back seat. Chairman Chung and his party stayed in the empty place for about an hour and a half on this day. When leaving the mourning, Chairman Chung left a brief impression to the reporters, saying, “It’s really sad.”

In addition to the Panhyundai family, Yoon Se-young, the honorary chairman of Taeyoung Group, and Lee Hae-chan, former representative of the Democratic Party, condolenced the deceased. The deceased’s eldest son, Jung Mong-jin (61), KCC chairman, and SJL Partners Chairman Lim Seok-jeong (formerly CEO of JP Morgan Korea), who has a strong close relationship with him, also visited the place. Chairman Mong-jin Chung and Chairman Lim are alumni of the Graduate School of Business at Korea University and George Washington University, working together three years ago in the process of acquiring the American silicon manufacturer Momentive Performance Materials. It was a big deal worth 3 billion dollars (about 3.5 trillion won) in the acquisition amount alone.

The deceased’s funeral is held in a simple way according to the modern family tradition. On this day, KCC explained, “In consideration of the will of the deceased, we politely refuse to accept harmony or condolences.” The new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) was also considered. Balin is scheduled for 9 am on the 3rd of next month. There are three sons, including his wife Eun-joo Cho, KCC Chairman Chung Mong-jin, KCC Glass Chair Chung Mong-ik, and KCC Construction Chairman Chung Mong-yeol.
