The Epic Games Store, which officially launched the Korean service on April 12, 2019, introduced a total of 354 games to domestic gamers as of January 15, 2021. The Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2020, including Hades, who won the best action game and best indie game, assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Star Wars: Squadron, etc. The PC version of Godfall, a game for PlayStation5, and the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn, an award-winning action RPG, were also released through the Epic Games Store.
In addition, the Epic Games store provided a total of 102 free games over the past year.
In particular, it attracted great interest in May last year. As part of the Epic Mega Sale event at the time, Epic Games provided the best masterpiece games free of charge every week for four weeks, and from the first week, GTA 5 Premium Edition was released, raising the ranking of search terms on the portal site, and cheering gamers. After that, masterpiece games such as Civilization 6, Borderlands: Handsome Collection, and Arc: Survival Evolved were provided in order. In addition, World War Z was released for free in March, and in August, Total War Saga: Troy was released free of charge to store users for 24 hours, surprising gamers. Meanwhile, this week’s free game will be available for free until the 22nd with the selection of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition.
