After the controversy over the violation of the quarantine rules came out, Kim and the TBS production team submitted a position and supporting documents to the effect that it was a’essential business activity of a company’ for the meeting at the time. However, the Seoul Metropolitan Government decided that it was unreasonable to view it as an essential business activity for a company. However, the city’s position is that Mapo-gu must decide whether to actually impose a fine.

On December 19, last year, Kim and TBS production crew gathered at a coffee shop near TBS in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and were captured in a photo and aroused controversy. Mapo-gu conducted an on-site investigation as photos of Kim’s chat with her mask down spread on social media. As a result of the investigation, it was confirmed that there were a total of 7 people including Kim, not the 5 originally known.

Mapo-gu concluded that it was impossible to impose fines on the ground that Kim’s conversation while wearing a mask was reported only through photographs, and on-site guidance was impossible.
