The management proposed three issues to the union, and the union reached an agreement by responding. The first condition that SK Hynix presented to the labor union is to change the standard index for calculating PS from the existing EVA (Economic Value Added) to linking with operating profit. The management explained, “There have been complaints from members due to the EVA indicators, and we wanted to increase the predictability through operating profits where figures are clearly disclosed.”

The second condition is granting the right to purchase to members by issuing employee stocks, subject to approval by the board of directors. A specific plan was decided later, but the management decided to provide benefits equivalent to approximately 200% of the basic salary. As a last condition, the management decided to pay 3 million high-well points, which is an in-house welfare point, to all members.
