[아시아경제 조슬기나 기자]On the 29th, Yonhap News reported that an old man who had been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) died in Israel, and the authorities began an investigation.
According to reports citing local media such as Times of Israel and the Jerusalem Post, the Israeli Ministry of Health said that the day before, a 75-year-old man living in northern Betshean died at home about two hours after being vaccinated against Corona 19.
The man was given a Corona 19 vaccine developed by Pfizer, an American pharmaceutical company, and Bioentech, Germany, at a hospital at 8:30 am the previous day. He lost consciousness shortly after arriving home, and was reported to have died of a heart attack. The Israeli Ministry of Health said that there was no link between the death of the elderly and the vaccine at the beginning of the investigation, and that the deceased suffered from diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
This is the first time in Israel that a vaccine vaccinated for COVID-19 has been known to have died in hours. Israel has started large-scale COVID-19 vaccinations for medical professionals and the elderly from the 20th. To date, about 500,000 people have been vaccinated.
