Hwang Hana, 32, the only granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy, who was charged with taking drugs again during the probation period, was handed over to trial.
The third division of the Seoul West District Prosecutor’s Office announced on the 29th that it had charged Hwang for violating the law on drug management. Hwang has been accused of taking drugs with friends around him since August last year.
Earlier, Hwang was sentenced to one year in prison and two years of probation on charges of administering psychotropic drugs several times using a disposable syringe with an acquaintance from 2015 to 2019. However, during the probation period last month, he was charged with violating the Narcotics Control Act again.
The police applied for an arrest warrant to Mr. Hwang, and the court issued a warrant on the 7th of this month saying, “There is fear of fleeing and destroying evidence.” Afterwards, the police arrested Hwang and sent him to the prosecution on the 14th. Hwang is also accused of stealing luxury clothing from acquaintances. The Yongsan Police Department, who had been transferred to the case, also applied the charges against Mr. Hwang and handed it over to the prosecution.
Nam-mo, who was suspected of taking drugs with Hwang, tried to make an extreme choice in the middle of last month and is unable to find consciousness. Nam was confirmed as a member of the largest drug organization in Korea. Also, Mr. Omo, 29, who is known to have married Hwang last October, died on the 24th of last month by making an extreme choice.
Meanwhile, Namyang Dairy’s side recently related to Hwang, saying, “I am very sorry that Namyang Dairy was linked to the name of Namyang Dairy only because he was the only granddaughter of the founder who passed away.” It is not doing, and has nothing to do with Namyang Dairy.”
